DeeptoPlay began its journey with a bold dream to bring diverse digital content to Bangladeshi viewers through a modern OTT experience. A sister concern of Deepto TV, the platform has now completed an exciting three years run. Today marks the 3rd anniversary of DeeptoPlay, a milestone that reflects how Bangladesh is rapidly rising in the global streaming landscape.

By offering original Bangladeshi content alongside globally loved drama series, the platform has given local audiences the freedom to enjoy exclusive movies, web series, dramas, documentaries, and more, all in one place.

When DeeptoPlay launched on 28 November 2022, it brought with it a refreshing new wave of entertainment. Its first lineup, packed with original films, web series, mega serials, exclusive films, fan favourite dramas, and documentaries, quickly made a strong impression on viewers.

The journey began with the original film Icon Man, which instantly became a viewer favourite. Over time, the platform delivered hit originals like Shohore Onek Rod, Shahoshika 2, Agnipurush, Nikosh, and Pori. These titles didn’t just attract audiences they earned genuine appreciation and loyalty.

One of the biggest attractions remains the world famous Turkish drama Sultan Suleiman, available absolutely free on DeeptoPlay. Along with it, a collection of other international series reimagined with smooth Bangla dubbing and modern production value continues to bring new viewers to the platform every day.

From its early days, DeeptoPlay has focused on expanding creative boundaries. By promoting local storytelling, experimenting with new formats, and consistently releasing original Bangladeshi films and web content, the platform strengthened the presence of local entertainment within the country’s growing OTT ecosystem. Its steady stream of fresh releases helped it become one of Bangladesh’s most popular streaming services in a short time.

A Platform That Creates Stars and Celebrates Talent

Actors and creators associated with DeeptoPlay have earned widespread recognition.
For her performance in the DeeptoPlay Original Nikosh, Tasnia Farin won Best Actress at the Meril Prothom Alo Awards 2023 and the Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2023, along with a CJFB nomination. Makhunun Sultana Mahima was honoured as Best Supporting Actress for the same film.

In the DeeptoPlay Original Poison, Tanjin Tisha won the Iconic Award and Savee Award 2024 as Best Actress in the TV & OTT category. Notable actors like Farhan Ahmed Jovan, Ziaul Faruq Apurba, and Mehazabien Chowdhury have also been recognized for their performances across various categories.

Another web film, Tribhuj, brought Anika Kabir Shokh a BCCF Award for Best Actress. Shohore Onek Rod star Khairul Basar received recognition at the Bangladesh Excellence Awards 2023.

A Hub for New Stories, New Ideas, and New Audiences

The variety of content produced over these three years shows how DeeptoPlay has become a major platform for bold storytellers. From original films to long running dubbed series and special festive releases, the platform has consistently focused on understanding audience expectations.

Even in 2025, DeeptoPlay has maintained its momentum. The Bangla dubbed version of the world famous series Good Doctor received massive praise, while the mega reality show Star Hunt brought a whole new dimension to local digital entertainment.

After its theatrical run, the Shakib Khan blockbuster Taandob premiered exclusively on DeeptoPlay in August, drawing huge streaming traffic. Later in the year, two new serials Khusbu and Rupnagar expanded the content library even further, promising audiences even richer storytelling ahead.
